Header line and symbol

A Jain biodata usually begins with "|| Jai Jinendra ||" and the built-in Jain symbol. Some families prefer "|| Namo Arihantanam ||" or the first line of the Navkar Mantra; type any line you like. You can also upload a photo of Bhagwan Mahavir or your family's Tirthankar image in place of the symbol.

Jain-specific fields

Sect: Digambar or Shwetambar, with the tradition if you wish: Murtipujak, Sthanakvasi or Terapanthi.
Community / sub-caste: for example Oswal, Porwal, Agarwal Jain, Khandelwal, Shrimal, Saitwal, Chaturth or Pancham.
Gotra: many Jain families still match gotra; add it if yours does.
Kuldevi / kuldevta: optional.
Diet: choose "Jain Food" from the diet list, and add details if you like, such as no root vegetables or chauvihar (no food after sunset).
Rashi: optional; some families match it, many don't.

Horoscope in a Jain biodata

Practice varies. Some Jain families match rashi or even full kundali, while many look only at gotra, sect and family background. That is why the Jain preset keeps a short horoscope section with just rashi, gotra and kuldevta. If your family matches more, add Nakshatra, Gan or Nadi with "Add field"; each gets its own dropdown list. If you don't match horoscopes at all, hide the section with one click. You can still keep date, time and place of birth in the personal details.

How to set it up

Open the biodata maker and go to the Design tab.
Under Religion preset, choose Jain.
The header changes to "|| Jai Jinendra ||", the Jain symbol appears and the horoscope section is trimmed to rashi, gotra and kuldevta.
Add a Diet field and pick "Jain Food", and add Sect or Community fields with "Add field".

Family details Jain families look for

Native place: many Jain families note their ancestral town in Rajasthan, Gujarat or Karnataka even if they now live in Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata or Chennai.
Family business: a short line such as "Family business in textiles, Surat (three generations)".
Mosal (maternal side): the mama's name and town. Some families avoid a match with the mother's gotra as well as their own, so the maternal gotra can be useful.
Siblings: with education, work and marital status.

Religious practice (optional)

Some families like to mention practice in one short line, for example "Regular at the derasar, observes Paryushan" or "Follows Navkarsi and chauvihar". Keep it simple and truthful; the other family will talk about it in person anyway.

Tips

Write your sect and tradition clearly; for many families it is the first thing they check.
Mention diet honestly, including whether you follow chauvihar or avoid root vegetables at home.
If the family is spread across cities, write both the current city and the native place, e.g. "Mumbai (native: Sirohi, Rajasthan)".
Upload a photo of your family's Tirthankar or the family logo at the top if you'd like a more personal header, or keep the built-in Jain symbol.
Keep religious details to a line or two; the rest of the biodata follows the usual marriage biodata format.
